Good day fellow fishermen and women, With the 2022 Lake Trout opener just around the corner Northshore Bait and Tackle would like to share that Rainbow Smelts are available for $10.00/3 dozen. For those hard water fishermen and women heading out to Jessie Lake, Lake Helen and Polly Lake. Also a reminder that ALL SIZES of minnows (small to large) are $5.00/dozen for the month of February in support of Family Day and Valentine's Day. Sucker minnows are available at $1.00/piece. We would like to continue to support families and loved ones enjoying some ice time, we are fully stocked and continue to service the north shore of Lake Superior, Nipigon Bay, Lake Nipigon and the Nipigon River system. Decided to try Superior today. I caught this one minutes after releasing the Red Fin. -
I think this one was the most colourful Laker I ever caught! -
This fish snapped me off just below the ice. Re tied and saw him smash the jig right at the hole as I was looking down!!! -
I've heard rumblings of a trophy lake trout fishery at Inspiration Lake. It's located just south of Armstrong and apparently is a local hotspot for 25lbs plus lunkers. Also heard the trail is potentially difficult to find and/or is not cut. Anyone have first hand knowledge of this lakes status? Also if any well equipped people want to venture out that way let me know cheers!
