  1. Hi guys! I’m new to Thunder Bay Area and I was looking to get onto some specs. Not looking for your hot spots I just want to take my wife out for a fun day where she can have fun and catch some fish. Looking for a lake with relatively easy access as I don’t have a sled and would be walking. I’m strictly catch and release. Thanks looking forward to hearing from you!

    Stocked Trout Lakes

I will be in Thunder Bay for a meeting in a couple weeks. I was thinking about staying the weekend and fishing in the stocked trout lakes in the area. Does anyone have experience with these lakes? Most have speckled trout, some have splake. Is access usually fairly simple, do they generally have spots to fish from shore? Just wondering if it would be worth the effort. Thanks.

    First water to "Open up"
