    Walleye lakes within an hour

Not expecting anyone to give away their secret spots but I fish mostly around Dryden, camp is there but I live in TBay. I've not really tried fishing around TBay other than Kashabowie, I know the Kam can be a great spot. Just wondering as I have a Lund Explorer 1675 (17 FT), not huge but not small either.....just wondering what lakes I should stick to. I've heard good things about Fraser Lake and a couple others but I know a lot of these lakes are rocky and I do not know them well and I'd rather not lose my prop or worse. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Good day On The Ice

Hi all, Got out on Saturday twice. I headed out at sunrise by myself to try for some crappie before the family was awake. Only stayedd for an hour and caught nothing except a breathtaking sunrise. Scooted back for breakfast and then chilled till after lunch when I headed out with my son Jack to meet some friends and have a shot at some walleye. Jack spent most of the couple of hours riding around on mum's Tundra (he says we should give her the old Bravo back...LOL) and chopping trees down with his machete. He did fish for a bit and landed a 25"er. He made sure everyone knew it was the biggest of the evening. Pike and whitefish were also around and we headed back just before dark. Perfect day with spring like temps of +5C.

    New to Thunder Bay

Greetings everyone. My my wife and I are new to Thunder Bay as I just got transferred here for work from southern Ontario. We are both very much into fishing and hunting and anything outdoors. We are excited to try our hand at the smelt run this year as it’s something we’ve never done before. Any pointers are greatly appreciated, not only on the smelt run but any general fishing or hunting pointers are greatly appreciated. Hope to see you out there! Jim.

    Walleye in Anders Lake??

I've had a fairly successful walleye season this and have been learning the Armstrong extension a little bit lately.. Wondering if anyone can help me out with a little bit of information on Anders Lake.. The research I've done says there is Walleye in there, can anyone confirm this?? If so, how did you do and how is the access? Any information is appreciated guys and gals, thank you 🐟

    Walleye Lakes

Hey guys! I have been attempting the search the forums for some recommendations for walleye lakes, but seems to be all over the place. I don't mind traveling 2-3 hours to get to a lake, but am looking to have my brother (who has been badly snaked recently haha) and I catch some fish. I have tried out lakes such as Whitefish, Swallow, Cheeseman, Circle, etc. so looking for some lakes besides those ones! Doesn't really matter what direction the lake is in, but we would need to be able to get a trailered 15 foot boat into the lake. Any help regarding some that would potentially be worth checking out would be awesome! Thanks.

    Access into Topaz Lake

I've been looking at some lakes to try out this year, looking to find pickerel.. I found a lake named Topaz that is located southwestish of chambers.. To me, it looks accessible by boat, maybe a portage or two.. Has anyone been in there? And if so, how did you access it? How was the fishing experience? Any information regarding this lake would be greatly appreciated, good luck out there everyone!

Finally got the tinny into a lake1

Hi all, Been an eternity since I posted a video, so thought i'd share one. I have lots...lol...so if ya like them let me know and I can post lots. I live in Dryden, moved here 8 years ago from England, hence the accent in the videos (NO..I'm not effing Australian....lol). Finally got round to rebuilding and re-carpeting the floors and casting deck on my old tinny, had to rebuild the trolling motor mount too. Also banged in around a thousand rivets and re-varnished the bench seats while i was at it. Took 2 weeks of farting around and 200 trips to Canadian Tire, but finally got her done and hit a smallish lake 5 minutes from town for some walleye fun on Saturday morning. Worked out perfectly for the fish fry that afternoon at our place, and the boat hardly leaks at all now! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzF2kxeeNuM

    Making My Own Spinners

Hi, I decided to start making my own spinners for pickerel fishing. Do the beads necessarily have to be round beads? I have a TON of diamond shaped beads at home, and was thinking of using those instead. Thx

    Kekekaub

Was in Kekekaub last night. Culvert is washed out but passable with car topper, wouldn't chance it with a trailer. Really grown in since the last time I was there. Figured the fishing would be hot and heavy since the road was so rough. Landed half a dozen wallys, one nice sized, took some doing though. Beautiful night for it anyhow... Bob
