Hey everyone, Has anyone been into Jim lake off the Atikokan highway in the past couple years, hard or soft water season ? I portaged into it with my kayak two years ago spending a weekend camping and trying to land some lake trout with little success. I found the lake had lots of bass and looked like no one had been into it for quite some time. I was hoping to head back there this winter season to try again as it was one of my grandpa’s favourite lakes to visit. Any info is appreciated.

Hey guys. So normally I fish the regular style frog with a soft body and twin hooks on the back and it has worked good. Just curious if anyone has tried the hybrid frogs in this FFTROU video? They have weedless treble hooks which I have not tried yet. But it's interesting that it can be a multi purpose lure. Is it worth the switch? Thanks.

Greetings everyone. My my wife and I are new to Thunder Bay as I just got transferred here for work from southern Ontario. We are both very much into fishing and hunting and anything outdoors. We are excited to try our hand at the smelt run this year as it’s something we’ve never done before. Any pointers are greatly appreciated, not only on the smelt run but any general fishing or hunting pointers are greatly appreciated. Hope to see you out there! Jim.

Hey everyone Just seeing if anyone else heard or have seen the boat that went over the falls on northern lights lake last evening. We were out and they came by looking on how to get to the falls. Saw there friends on shore at 9pm when we came in. Apparently They spent the night. Saw a picture from another guy today with the boat stuck in the middle on rocks with water pouring over the bow. Hoping to have him email it to me and I would share it on here. But if anyone is looking for a parts boat or a half swamped 150 merc then have a look about 100ft down the falls. Anyone else have a photo please share!
