Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted May 31, 2011 A Michigan resident has been fined a total of $3,000 for shooting across a roadway at a deer.Paul Witter of Pinconning, Michigan, was fined $2,000 for discharging a firearm across the traveled portion of the roadway and $1,000 for possessing illegally killed wildlife.The court heard that on November 12, 2010, Witter was traveling east on Highway 17A, near Kenora. Seeing a deer on the south side of the highway, Witter pulled over on the north side of the road and shot the deer. He then exported the deer parts from Ontario.An individual who observed the incident contacted the Ministry of Natural Resources.
