adding a livewell, and charging batteries

Pro fisherman-Stud Muffin

well i managed ot get a boat big enough for family , and would like to get it ready to hit a few tournaments next year.

it is a 16 glass bow rider but i have removed the sleeper seats and added buckets, but it doesnt have a live well. yet

it only has 2 places big enough for live well , ski locker in floor or remove cooler at transom, how many gallons should it be? looks like 13 gallon is max i can stuff in either spot. and i guess a fancy self priming pump is needed to fill it before i switch to aerate and do i need a another pump to recirculate? or will fish live on aerated water all day.

also wondering what to power it off i was thinking cranking battery as it get charged. i run my electronics off cranking batt too. i run a 12 volt 75lb varimax with 2 batteries parallel seperate from cranking batt. will i be able to run 2 chargers at tournament?do they have plug in at docks? as my batteries need 10 hours each with my 10 amp charger. or will i need generator running down by water to run charger.

13 gallons isn't all that big for a live well. But if I had to choose it would be the transom one.

Depends which tournament you are going to. Some you have to bring a genset others you have to trailer the boat then plug it in and others have power at the dock.

My pumps are powered off of the cranking battery.
