Foam Strips for Canoe

Recommended Posts

sinker7

A few years back I acquired a very well used 10' aluminum canoe - not sure the brand. It needs some TLC to make to ready for the water. One item that needs replacement is the foam strips that run down the outside of the canoe that help with floatation. Anyone know if these are still available for any make of canoe?

Bobber Down

If it's for a Sportspal you can get them here http://www.bwmarineproducts.com/Sponson%20Kit.htm They might even fit a non sportspal model. You can also just google foam sponson kits and see what comes up.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!

Some Old Guy

Buy a few pink pool noodles, cut them in half length wise and glue them on. Well you don't have to get them on pink you can go, bright yellow, orange light blue and even chartruse green! Or you can stagger the colours and make it look so bad you can leave that canoe on any lake and nobody will steal it! Ha Ha!

Actually I have seen white pool noodles. I would cut them like I said and just do it that way.
