Mercury 4-Stroke Tune Up? Who?

Recommended Posts

Python

I picked up a used boat in the fall and it has a 2001 Mercury 4-Stroke 50HP on it.

I was only able to take it out once in the fall and the motor hesitates when attempting to go full throttle. It bog's a bit and you can hear the motor increase revs but doesn't keep the high rpm for the top end. Its almost as if a one cylinder isn't firing.

I replaced spark plugs and it made a difference but i'm still lacking top end.

Who would you recommend me to bring the motor in to? Or do you have any self-tuning instructions?

I looked online and their is literally nothing out there for instructions/steps on tuning a 4-stroke.

I would recommend a man by the name of Bob Maw in Thunder Bay, He's in the phone book... He's very reliable and honest with his work.

Tell him Little Luggy sent you.
