crisop 65 Report post Posted May 2, 2012 i have a buddy who was wonderingif a hunter applies for a Bow tag for moose ... the season is from Sept. 15 - Oct. 5.If that hunter doesn't fill his tag bow hunting - can he hunt in the Gun Season with his bow ? Guest MNR Report post Posted August 24, 2012 The bow season for moose in WMU is from Sept 15 - Oct 5th. If a bow hunter with a licence that has been validated for an adult moose (bull or cow) in the bow season is not successful in the bow season, the tag can be used for calf in the rest of the season. That hunter can continue to use a bow or may use a rifle. He/she can party hunt with someone who has an valid game seal for adult moose in the gun season as long as they follow the party hunting rules.
