Guest fishinbuddy Report post Posted June 6, 2007 I have always been under the impression that you can not transport any live fish. But I could be wrong. Fishinbuddy

Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted June 17, 2007 MNR Answer: I?fm going to assume that you?fre talking about sport fish and not bait fish or invasive species. Unless you are specifically licensed to do so, it is illegal to: ship or transport or attempt to ship or transport live fish other than bait fish; deposit or attempt to deposit live fish taken from one body of water into another body of water. C) possess live fish or viable eggs of any species of invasive fish In addition, some lakes have rules that prevent you from possessing live fish in your livewell while on the water. These include: 1. Waters of Division 30 known as Lac Seul, Broad Lake and Sunlight Lake, including connecting waters 2. Waters of Pelican Lake, Minnitaki Lake, Abram Lake, Botsford Lake, Hidden Lake and Duck Lake, including connecting waters in Divisions 22 and 31 3. Waters of Twill Lake, Flower Lake, Twin Flower Lake and Parnes Lake, including connecting streams, Twin Flower Creek and Twin Bay of Minnitaki Lake (collectively known as the Rice River) in Division 22 SOR/94-295, s. 5; SOR/94-730, s. 5. It is also illegal to possess live baitfish while fishing in certain waters. These will all be listed in the exceptions section of the summary of Fishing Regulations. For example: Arrow River running between the dam on Arrow Lake, Hardwick Township (48??08??N., 90??02??W.) and its confluence with the Pigeon River, Devon Township (48??0l??N., 89??03??W.).
