High speed transducer operation

Recommended Posts

Lyle Reiner

My transducers read up to around 21 mph, I can't get them to read much over that. I've played with the placement of my 'ducer and can't get it.

I've got it centerlined with the bottom of the hull, not behind a rib or a rivet. Also it's over a foot from the bottom end. Any ideas?

There's gotta be some interference. 21mph is not overly fast for your unit not to read. My Lowrance rarely misses a beat at 50mph so something else is at play. Level it out with the hull as Ryan has suggested and then gradually increase speed to determine if their is a depth/speed where it fails to register. Do it soon so you can return the product under warranty.
