We were out for the opener week and to be honest didnt really see much "fresh" sign aside from the two we were successfull in harvesting. Seemed to us like the moose were already paired up and "rutted out" by the time the rifle season opened, at least where we were. Moose seemed to be hunkered down, prob due to the weather too.
