Guest adams Report post Posted December 11, 2012 In the past two weeks two dogs have been killed by a pack of wolves on Shebandowan Lake. (one in lower and the other in middle). Does the MNR investigate these occurrences? Is there any effective wolf deterrant? Is there reason to believe the wolves are hanging around the area still or is it likely they've moved on across the ice? As a dog owner obviously I am concerned for his safety, and looking for any wolf related advice. Thanks!
sinker7 114 Report post Posted December 13, 2012 Hey Adams, we have a camp on upper and every year we see wolves come across from the south shore and travel the lake and shoreline in front of our camp. We have three large dogs and have never had any issues. We really enjoy seeing them .Our neighbour lost a small dog(rabbit size) to wolves several years back as it was running loose and decided to chase after the wolves once it spotted them.
