Princecraft Fisherman leaks at plug

I have a used Princecraft Fisherman that I picked up last year. It leaked at the plug. I picked up a new plug and it still leaks/drips at plug. Maybe I am not cranking the plug too much or not enough, not sure whats wrong with it.

Has anyone else had experience with this? I welcome any tips or advice.

Not just a 3 month season but a 12 month obsession!!!
