Guest MNR Report post Posted August 9, 2013 To legally be in possession of a red fox (or any part of a red fox) you do need some paperwork. Red fox are classed as “fur bearers” can be taken either with a trapping licence or a small game licence. You could receive a fox from either a trapper or hunter. (the paperwork here is your licence)If you picked up a road killed animal you still need paperwork. The Ministry of Natural Resources is streamlining its approvals processes for natural resource-related activities – with the goal of providing individuals and businesses with faster and more efficient service delivery.
