Apparently this road is illegal for motorized traffic but when we went up to it to take a look at it there was no sign posted and it was all grown in anyways, is it actually illegal to drive on or was that just a rumor?

The restriction is still in effect. You cannot take a vehicle past the sign to access Wapikaimaski Lake. We have had multiple occurrences of vandalism over the years where people remove the sign.

You can access Wapikaimaski Lake via Harmon Lake.
