Pro fisherman-Stud Muffin 420 Report post Posted September 17, 2013 i just use cocrdless impact, not a big deal on that nuts torque, it just seats cv in bearing, you cant really over tighten with a 3/8 drive ratchet. dont go nuts but put a fair bit onit should have a cotter pin anyways. Pro fisherman-Stud Muffin 420 Report post Posted September 17, 2013 Check bearing for play or wobble. That nut tightens on hub so the only way it would come of is If bearing failed and race could move. Hub has splines so no real rotational force on nut. with nut off or loose as you describe caliper and rotor is only thing holding wheel one. That may be bent now.you will notice wheel won't spin freely easily if rotor bent. I work on these a fair bit on the side pm me if you still need help Quote 2016 Dog Lake Open Champion.
