torquing front axle nut on polaris sportsman

not sure how much to torque it, does anybody have a similar quad and knows what the amount is to torque it to as I do not have my book with me.

i just use cocrdless impact, not a big deal on that nuts torque, it just seats cv in bearing,

you cant really over tighten with a 3/8 drive ratchet. dont go nuts but put a fair bit on

it should have a cotter pin anyways.

I was hunting up to sturge this weekend and my cotter pin actually broke and the bolt somehow came loose lol, thanks for the help

Check bearing for play or wobble. That nut tightens on hub so the only way it would come of is If bearing failed and race could move. Hub has splines so no real rotational force on nut.

with nut off or loose as you describe caliper and rotor is only thing holding wheel one. That may be bent now.you will notice wheel won't spin freely easily if rotor bent.

I work on these a fair bit on the side pm me if you still need help
