Jayfishin 63 Report post Posted December 30, 2013 We went out on Boxing Day, and rented a day shack from Gary.Fishing started pretty decent then slowed in the afternoon.Ended up with 26 iced. Fishing in 18 ft of water, mainly with 1/8oz jigs (and bucktails) with small/med minnows.Thx again Gary (Hamilton Baits).Jay
Guest souonter Report post Posted December 30, 2013 I have been out there quite a bit and on the slow days, I find that I need to be actively jigging whatever bait I'm using more often to stop them from just staring at the bait for hours. Typically the forage minnow jig head with a small minnow produces for me the best on slow days, but who knows...could be coincidence.I've never not gone out there without Garys guidance, he makes it easy. Guest BIGPOACHIN Report post Posted December 30, 2013 Was out today. Noticed my fishing buddy had stopped jigging and was frozen stiff. Good thing he remembered the Whiskey. Turned out Forty Creek not only brought him back to life but also the fishing. Landed 30ish. worms worked the best

slowday 2 Report post Posted January 3, 2014 I too would like to thank Gary for a great fishing experience. I came in from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay for Christmas this year, and had limited space to bring along much for fishing gear. So armed with a few rods and jigs, we got a shack and a ride from Hamilton baits on Boxing Day and had a great day on the ice. I love the set-up, comfortable shack, and pretty good fishing. Steady action, and a few real nice perch. We came home with a good feed, and thouroghly enjoyed our day out there. I will do this again next time I am in Thunder Bay in the winter. Thanks again Gary!
