flybum 95 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 I'm looking at doing some opening day pike, depending on WHEN opening day is. i will hopefully get out to catch some steelhead first, but my biggest plan is some early season gators. How about you?
Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 That's a good question. It'll just feel good to cast!!!! Roger Quote R.T.R. Respect the resource!
flybum 95 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Lol! I'm lucky enough to have room at work to practise cast on my lunch or break. I set up cones to hit for accuracy practise... That being said, it would be way better if my job involved a pool.
Guest FreshwaterFisherman Report post Posted April 2, 2014 A trip east for steelies, or just the rivers in town. Either way, I simply cannot wait.
Squaretail 38 Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Fish the harbour trolling a fly for salmon and bows. And fish the outflow of the rivers with the fly rod. Can't wait.
Guest mud trout Report post Posted April 2, 2014 Not sure. I'll have to grasp this concept of open water first. Stare at it for awhile, touch, maybe do the ol taste test, just to see if it's real lol. It's been a long scary winter. Likely my one anual Steelhead trip, the Wolf, Blk Sturgeon, Jackpine and maybe beyond.
hookset 18 Report post Posted April 26, 2014 Same as you flybum. I'm planning on early spring gators. Waiting on some materials to start tying a arsenal of pike flys. I'm going in on my float tube.
