We'll I'm finally gonna go fishing with a fly rod tonight. Heading to current river to give it a shot. The main reason is I picked up a rod and reel at a yard sale for what I hope was a good deal. It's an oldy but in nice shape 8.9 footer 8wt st. Croix and a Fenwick reel already spoiled up and ready to cast. I will post my results when I get back. But if your down there and see a guy tied to a tree or hear lots of swearing stop by and say hi.

Well after catching half dozen trees, a fence and my own ear i started to get the hang of things. I can get a streamer only about 20 feet but it was far enough to catch my first ever fish on a flyrod. A very small 9inch bass. Im hooked.

Hoping that the salmon are actually around this year. If they are, get ready, it's a blast!
