Iron Ranger 125 Report post Posted October 19, 2014 My young bride and I are headed into Grand Rapids (MN) to catch the early show of "FURY". It's thirty miles each way, but we are looking forward to seeing the flick. My father served in the pacific during WW2. He enlisted one day after Pearl Harbor at 17 years. His brother enlisted at 16 years, both with parents written consent. My uncle was trained on tanks. He served under General George Patten. The movie is based on a forward tank group under Patton. It should be interesting.Sadly both have passed, but I have plenty of war experiences, fishing, hunting and general life advice. Gawd I miss them!!!!!! We are going to stop at a landmark pizza place after the movie. Brick oven pizza in Grand Rapids???? Yep you bet. Quote 20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon.
