gsambray 172 Report post Posted February 1, 2015 Perch were hitting hard and plentiful. One small pike and no splake. I've always fished in 18-25 fow. Maybe I should try shallower next time
gsambray 172 Report post Posted February 1, 2015 Oh ya just about lost a rod too. No warning just gone. Lucky the line tangled on the rod holder as it was the only thing to save it from disappearing
McGinnis_Fishing 49 Report post Posted February 1, 2015 Are the perch of any size in the lake?
gsambray 172 Report post Posted February 1, 2015 I kept 8 and they were mostly at least 10inchers. But tossed back a lot of little ones
Mr. Canoehead 69 Report post Posted February 2, 2015 Perch were hitting hard and plentiful. One small pike and no splake. I've always fished in 18-25 fow. Maybe I should try shallower next time If you fish shallower (like under 5 FOW) you will get into some schools of 8" splake. Good if there is no other action lol. Mr. Canoehead 69 Report post Posted March 10, 2015 It's shallow back in there. In the past I caught some nice splake by the cliffs just to the left of that area.
