Freenorth20 6 Report post Posted July 4, 2015 Well, had a good morning fly fishing some of the local rivers that flow through the city. Brook trout action was on fire very early but slowed by the afternoon. Feels good knowing that we have exciting fishing opportunities just down the street. Has anyone else been out on the local rivers?
hookset 18 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Nice trout. I was thinking about fishing Centenial tonight. Went else where. Lots of bites but they weren't hitting hard.
brookiebuster 117 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Nice! Always catch them in the spring while steel heading in the Mac. Have never tried in the summer. Quote "Whack em' and stack em',kill em' and grill em'" Ted Nugent
Heisenberg 12 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Yeah, there has been some serious hatching going on lately. Trout (bow and speck) seem to have been quite active lately. H.
hookset 18 Report post Posted July 5, 2015 Last week I had one of my most productive trips. Lots of brook trout. Mostly over 10". Biggest was 12 1/2'. Cant remeber the last time I caught that many quality fish in one trip. I pulled 5 out of one hole.
