Removing Black Indelible Marker from Tent???

I have a tent which has my dad's name written on in in black magic marker. I want to remove the name to sell the tent.

Has anyone had any experience, and especially success in doing so?

I have tried a couple of ways I looked up on the net, but they were unsuccessful.

The tent was marked up 20 yrs. ago or more.

It is a nylon tent.

Try handcleaner or WD40, then mild dishsoap.

I have seen permanent marker removed with lysol air freshener spray years ago (from a couch cushion)......that may work?
