milspec 9 Report post Posted November 19, 2015 After 68 days of what has been the most frustrating bow season yet, I finally managed to get meat on the ground. November 11th marks a day to remember for sure. I think the boys upstairs were helping out with my aim because I managed to put an arrow straight into the heart of this healthy 8 pointer. Sorry about the crap photo, but I'm not much of a photographer. Shot with 1969 Bear Grizzly Recurve #53, cedar shaft, 2 blade broadhead. Quartering away, lung to heart. No pass through and no blood trail unfortunately, but fortunately crashed hard into the brush about 100m from where I was. Again I think the boys upstairs helped me out.
