Spectre 21 Report post Posted May 9, 2016 While not likely to happen, this one would be bad news! Can't find anything new about after April 19th, so there's that... http://m.torontosun.com/2016/04/18/gunter-departing-senators-bill-looks-to-give-restrictive-gun-registration
Jayfishin 63 Report post Posted May 10, 2016 Yes the French female senator who introduced it retired and as far as I've read online no other member of the senate has taken over sponsorship. She retired on April21st and there are only 15 'senate' days for another to take it over sponsorship of this bill. Supposedly there aren't any other liberals who are interested in supporting it so hopefully it dies a quick death...otherwise its another very bad bill. I suspect she was one of the Liberal advocates in Quebec who were trying to get their hands on the Federal Gun registry in the last year. Jay
mooboy76 4 Report post Posted August 9, 2016 This bill is stuck at Second Reading until Senate resumes; debate was adjourned at the June 21st sitting. So, it's in limbo until the Fall. Quote CSSA Member CCFR Member
