gsambray 172 Report post Posted September 17, 2016 I know from past years the difficulty of filling a calf tag with a rifle but this year I decided to leave the rifle home and planning on using my bow. I have done the footwork and scouting and a lot of hours searching for a good stand spot which I believe will be good. Plans are to be in the stand while it's still dark to let the area settle down before the legal shooting hour. I am comfortable for up to a 60yard shot with my bow but any other tips from fellow archery hunters can't hurt.
