Heading out to this lake on the weekend for some lake trout, just wondering if anyone has fished this lake before and would like to share any spots or tactics that they have had luck with? Thanks in advance!

It's been about 5 yrs since we fished it. We had success going straight out from the landing almost as far as the island on the left in just over 40 fow

What speckmaster said....I havent fished it in about 5 years either but fished approximately the same location and did well.  Beautiful fish in that lake and you should have no problem finding a few.

Where are you getting on the lake?

Apparently looking at the maps there's a public launch? I'm hoping so anyway

Yes there is a public launch. I don't think I have ever seen it plowed. It is the road after crystal resort. Hang a left once in there. Please advise if plowed.

Thanks..and good luck

The last part isn't plowed but the road is because it leads to some homes/camps. There's usually a small part of the road that's widened where u can park. There should b a trail to the last bit that leads to the lake

Eva Lake has been good lately too, if you're not getting into them on Crystal. Out from the landing, you'll see where the holes are.

The road is plowed and there is a nice little area plowed wider on the road where the trail down to the lake goes like speckmaster said.

How far of a walk is it until you get into some lakers? Took the tracks off the quad already, didn't expect there to be so much snow and ice left. Don't need to know your honey holes, just wondering if the walk out would be worth it. Thanks, cheers!

There’s a reef just to the west of the little island that’s straight out from the pubic landing you can see on the satellite map, I have had good luck there for lakers in the past

Anyone have any idea how the ice conditions are out that way? On any lakes?

Personally I think its time to put the ice fishing gear away, get ready for steelhead and smelts and prepare the boat for the up coming season.
