Lots of ice in the main basin ( up to 18") with just a skiff of snow and lots of bare ice. Have not ventured south of the basin towards the narrows yet but by the 15th I anticipate plenty of ice there. However, always proceed with caution the closer you get to the narrows. I've seen the ice go from 18+" to a matter 2" within ten-fifteen yards distance. Current really rips through there so there's always way less ice.
