Power trim and tilt question

Recommended Posts

joks

The power tilt on my sons boat dies today and we pulled apart the motor and both brushes are gone and the armature requires cleaning.  Any idea of who in town would be able to

replace the brushes and clean it up I was thinking of Merse but I wondered if any one has any other suggestions.

Merse is probably the best, they have been doing it for so long. There is another place down near the airport but I cannot remember the name of the place. Was in there for something else and found out they did electric motors also, but that was 15 years ago at least.

I think the place by the airport your thinking of is probably Mahons

I believe Mahon's is the place. I was after something for my workplace which I did pick up, it was a part for a power tool if I remember correctly and they were the parts supplier.

Just FYI  no one was able to help and they recommended Kildred winding and they said they will give it a go

Kildred got it fixed 100 bucks and repainted the unit and works great
