Bobber Down 921 Report post Posted September 20, 2017 For all members who have never been to Davis Point this video is for you. Easy access. Bring the kids. Easy place to shore fish for Walleye, Bass, Pike etc. Davis Point is approx. 1 mile downstream of the famous Stanley Hotel. Throw a rap, twitch a jig or pin a worm to the bottom it's all good. Always something biting! Pay attention to your rod and never leave it unattended. A large Walleye or Pike will pull it off the bank and when you turn around it will be GONE 5 Quote Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!! gsambray 172 Report post Posted September 20, 2017 I fish there quite often. It's still my go to fall walleye spot. I've had evenings where I couldn't get a walleye over 13 inches and then evenings of not catching any under 18 inches. great place to go
James01 223 Report post Posted September 22, 2017 I have been picking up garbage each time I go there... it would be nice if everyone who goes there would pick up a little bit of litter. Or, at the very least, take your litter home with you. How hard is it to carry an empty worm container (or minnow bag) back to your car? The collection of random shoes and sandals is amusing - it had me perplexed for a while until I realized they came from people tubing down the river. If you lost a shoe or sandal tubing, dig through the pile. 2112 174 Report post Posted June 29, 2019 Drive to Stanley, turn left on harstone. Go past river rats until you see a wooden stair way on your right.
Tony 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2019 Thanks for your help, we went there yesterday. Maybe it wasn't the right time, the water is quite shallow, we didn't get any bite.

Bobber Down 921 Report post Posted June 23, 2020 Had nothing planned for Father's Day so went to drown a few worms. Water was low and no flow to speak of. Only bite in two hours was a sturgeon. Set the hook and it was airborne in the center of the river. Nice surprise and a little girl fishing with her mother thought it was a giant. The look on her face was priceless when I told her it was a baby. 6 Quote Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!
