If anyone is interested in watching the freeze over from updated sat images...

Obviously, when cloud cover is present we don't get to really see anything, but on the last non-cloudy picture (Nov 11th), you can see that Sawmill, up to what looks like Sandpoint, is snow covered. Not that great for making ice... 

 

We got a little excited and now Mother Nature is like "Not before XMAS!" :P

Was out saturday to sawmill. Drilled a hole theres 5” of ice. Only about 2” of snow on the lake. Id say it is wet today

Was out at pine point today fishing was ok there was about 4” of ice where we were fishing ,right out front of the launch

That is a good thing. Next week's - 20 nights should make some good ice!

 

Maybe it will be ready for the 9th?

Made the first trip to lac today. Fished two spots and both were plentiful with fish. Fish were vicious today. Below is two 17.5” walleyes that smacked a darter back to back. We released a 27 inch walleye. 12” ice everywhere. One ice ridge at sand point. No snow, all ice. Trucks not recommended unless the knock down the ice ridge at sand point. We took a side by side out.

   Hey guys  does anyone know if you could even walk out safely at Sawmill yet? I checked out a couple smalll lakes yesterday after work and they seemed scetchy to me.

Trucks out at birch right now. Not much snow on the ice.
