Anyone been out to check out any of the speck lakes and ice conditions. I would have been out myself by now, but to busy working would like to head out really soon for first ice brookies.

Was out on one this afternoon, lost a couple small ones at the ice and landed two others back to back in about 2 ft of water. Didn't get to the lake till almost 3 and things went dead just after 4 when the sun (mostly concealed by cloud) dropped below the tree tops. Ice was 5 inches thick, though next to nothing right against shore.
