Bobber Down 921 Report post Posted December 6, 2017 I posted this last year but it needs to be reposted. Stay safe if your going on the ice. Bring safety equipment. You just never know. The ice was around 5 inches thick when this happened. Quote Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!! Zackcorbin1401 536 Report post Posted December 7, 2017 3 early ice essentials 1, safety picks/ice picks don’t go out with out them! 2, chisel to check thickness 3, floater suit/lifejacket so you don’t use all of your energy staying above the water, gotta save the energy to get out.
