jimmysbay 0 Report post Posted December 25, 2017 Hi All, there are a few posts about underwater cameras, and their effectiveness on stained water... wondering if anyone would share a photo or two of some views from LAC through the ice ? please indicate which unit as well. Thanks !!
Pro fisherman-Stud Muffin 420 Report post Posted December 29, 2017 I seem to recall a few posts . Visibility was inches not feet.. the general consensus is it is a waste on that lake. I have never used one but previous reports weren't great. Even if you could achieve 2 ft of visibility that is still well inside the cone of almost any flasher/ sonar setup , a good flasher be the way to go. 1 Quote 2016 Dog Lake Open Champion. Croat 28 Report post Posted December 31, 2017 (edited) We tried camera long time ago and the visability was maybe 4-5" in front of jig Edited December 31, 2017 by Croat spell correct
ottoman82 41 Report post Posted December 31, 2017 I was out yesterday with a Marcum Recon 5. visibility is within 12" and pretty much on bottom. The only use for a camera on Lac I think is to confirm bottom structure etc. Cheers
tatoudsuzuki 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2018 Used my vexilar camera on lac but basically useless. Maybe further from sawmill bay where the waters a little clearer but i dont bother to bring it anymore
