Adrian 132 Report post Posted January 29, 2018 Is it just me, or is anyone else seeing a lot of Grey Owls this winter. I am in the bush a lot brushing and grooming snowmobile trails and we see at least 1 and at times 3 a day. They must be down from the North chasing food. Saw this same thing a number of years ago...it is nice to see that is for sure.
Some Old Guy 968 Report post Posted January 29, 2018 Yes I saw quite a few yesterday and three driving into town this morning. The three this morning buzzed my truck in front of me. Made me jump each time!! Roger Quote R.T.R. Respect the resource!
Bobber Down 921 Report post Posted January 29, 2018 It's called an irruption http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/great-grey-owl-irruption-thunder-bay-1.3998365 Quote Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!
