Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!

Safeway cart frozen in the creek. Somebody no doubt felt the need to make a contribution to trout habitat.

Why do people feel the need to roll shopping carts and bikes into the creeks and rivers? Maybe it's just a Thunder Bay thing.

I hope that bike is a result of someone trying to jump that creek! That cart is just an artificial reef! I hope you fished it :)   if we use our imagination we can cope with the ignornce of others.

Looking down from the bridge you can see them. Many hold in the shade before moving up farther. The water is usually shallow, about 12 inches or so when I have seen them. These images are from September not during the spring run.

Bobber Down will remember this, if your at Court Street bridge there's a cement wall that's were the MNR use to put a screen or funnel to back the water up and then they'd put specks in there , that was are whole summer chasing them or fishing for pike at Perry's dock.

Ah yes the Pike fishing at Perry's Dock. Lots of memories catching monsters there in the early 60's. I think it was a bit closer to the creek though. Maybe not. It was a long time ago. I loved to sneak on the fishing boats and drop down a minnow. Great times for a kid!
