Hurkett Pike

Would big Pike be using the hurkett cove by the dock for spawning? Was thinking of targeting some with tip-ups. Is there a better area to target 40"+ pike?

Okay I thought they would be heading in to spawn. Any tips what to look for if we want to target them with tip ups?

Look to be set up in the deeper water areas adjacent to shallower water that flows from the river/creek mouths.

I usually hook into a couple nice ones while I'm out perch fishing. I get tired of running back and forth ever 2 seconds for my set line so I started setting up my second line with the biggest suckers I can find in town or a dead herring. No 40's yet but a few mid 30's over the past few years.
