Minn kota trolling motor

I have a brand new Minn kota 55lb bow mount with US/AP/Copilot with a 54" shaft, new never used that came with my new boat. Does anyone know what a fair price would be for this motor? I am looking to upgrade to a 70lb with the same features as I think the 55lb thrust would have a hard time pulling a 17' boat with a 140 and gear. Any thoughts?

With a boat that size, I would most definately consider a 24V system with at least 70lbs of thrust. Minnikota makes a few models in that range, as does motorguide. A friend of mine has an 80lbs thrust on the bow of a 17 foot proV and we can hold in 3 footers all day. Hoever, you are looking in the $800.00 to 1,000.00 range.

As for your motor. Are you looking to sell it? I'm not sure what you could get for it. Bear might know more than I do. It could be sold for more if it was never installed, but I would say in the $400.00.

What model of Minn Kota is it? I'm in the market for a Minn Kota Powerdrive like that with the 16 foot cable electric steer.

I believe it is the V2 powerdrive. I do have the foot pedal and co pilot with it. I have a friend interested in it if I decide to upgrade. I know they sell for near $1000 dollars new with AP/US and Copilot but not sure what a fair price would be for it as it has no hours on it.
