115 Optimax on Crestliner

Recommended Posts

Guest Walleyeguy

Last year I picked up a 1700 superhawk with the 115 optimax. The last couple of times out on the pond, it has been a tad cool. at about 3-5 mph, with the centre windshield closed, (did I mention it was cool out), there seems to create a major vacuum in the cockpit and it sure sucks in the exhaust fumes. Anyone got a fix for this. I did leave the floor opening between the two windshields open, but this did not help. The waves were a little bumpy so I did have the bow trimmed up kinda high. Maybe this contributed to the vacuum.

Thoughts????

I've run a variety of boats with Walk Thru windshields the last several years and haven't experienced issues with fumes. You may want to put this post up on walleyecentral.com under the 'boats' forum there.
