35 Rem.

Just curious on peoples thoughts or past experience with the 35 Rem. or more specifically with a Marlin 336C in 35 Rem. as opposed to 30-30 Win. On paper they seem about the same, but i'm just wondering if the 35 is that much better than the 30-30 for bear and such to go out of my way and order. Thanks

I want a good camp or brush gun, but I need some reassurance if I'm gonna spend an extra $400-ish to order it vs. a used 30-30

The 35 Rem is a great caliber. Bullet weight of the 35 Rem is the main advantage over the 30/30. Factory loads are 150gr and 200gr bullets (i think?) the 200's are what u need to use. There some other bullet choices if you reload.
