This year I was lucky enough to be drawn for a bows-only cow moose tag. I've never hunted a cow before with a bow and I'm pretty unsure of how I'm going to go about finding and getting within range of a cow. Has anyone else been successful in getting a cow with a bow, and care to explain a little bit of how they did it? Any pointers or advice would be much appreciated! Andrew

I haven't been on here in awhile and couldn't seem to get logged in with what i remember my username and password to be.. Anyways. No adult license for 15B this year but i was lucky enough to get through on the surplus tags and got a cow for 21A. The only info Ive got on 21A is it was a moose factory 15 years ago. Now they've been pounding the crap out of it. Im not going in October to compete with everyone coming up. So i was going to go 2nd week of november. When I look at the satellite I figure ill stick to the east side of long lac where theres more bush and less access, I'm thinking less chance its over hunted. Anyone know some spots to look around. Busy with work right now and i don't have much time to get over there and drive around.

This is from Yahoo news this morning. It apparently happened in (more likely near) Thunder Bay last October. https://ca.news.yahoo.com/canadian-man-gets-fined-for-shooting-fake-moose-163240075.html Daryl

my first year applying in bow draw i am looking at moose draw tags quotas and guaranteed group size for bow cow 13. book shows 45 cow tags available and a guaranteed group size of two. however it only shows 6 applicants for 1st choice and 19 applicants second choice for at total 25 applicants, but 45 tags? so were pool 2 applicants given tags ? were not all tags issued? shouldn't guaranteed group size be 1? it looks as if i can apply single and be guaranteed a tag???
