What does the ice look like beyond Shelter Bay?

Tom, Lower to the east of me has some open stretches a few hundred yards long in front of burstroms (malcomes landing). Southwest Bay by the mine has less open around the edges than Shelter Bay. Southwest Bay generally go's out a day or so later than the rest of lower sheban. We just need some wind, its pretty honey coned, but has been calm the last 2 days. I'll put up a pic every day till its gone. Middle generally gos 2 or 3 days after lower.

Upper is gonzo! went out around 12:00 what's left of ice up there is blown down around greenwater. Middle (young's bay is packed with ice right across to the south shore... it's honey combed but still fairly solid. (A lot of white still) Lower still has a lot of ice and won't be out for a few days... Should be all out by Saturday morning.

Lots of waldo's milling around in the Kash River last night... plenty of hogger's.

One small chunk left in Shelter Bay tonight. Still ice at the launch. COULD HAVE been a photo finish tomorrow the 10th, but Trevor didn't jump on that!

Shelter Bay ice free this morning. Still some ice on the rest of lower.

From the boat launch, 5:15 pm. Lower Sheban is ice free from Shelter Bay to the dam. Southwest Bay still iced over, should go tomorrow or the day after.

You thought right Trev, you did put up free entry to the SFBC ! :)

Southwest Bay looks to be busting up today. Talked to a resident on Middle Sheban, ice is still on.

Currently 26C out at Shebs according to the weather network!!! and forecasted 21C with 30km wind tomorrow, that ice is toast!

I'm too old school for the C stuff. Currently 77 F at our place at 645 pm. The pic looks like southwest bay is open, but whats left of the ice is stacked up just out of sight of the entrance to shelter bay and the narrows to middle.
