wolves in the bush

Recommended Posts

gsambray

with the crazy high amount of wolves around were i hunt in 13 i am really starting to think about trying my hands on wolf hunting this winter. anyone here do this? but the biggest question is what do hunters do with the meat? is it good eating? I havent checked the regs on it yet but is it considered letting the meat spoil or is it a varmint type of species were its not against the law to dispose of it. any opinions on regs or hunting techniques worth trying or recipes if it is good eating.

Thanks

Gord

Ive also thought of hunting wolves.I heard that if you cook them properly they taste not that bad.Since they are a fur bearing animal, there are no rules saying you have to eat it(you just cant let the hide go to waste.)

I wonder if they taste anything like the cats and dogs we ate in Viet Nam?

Bernie, I find that offensive to the Vietnamese.

Come on Roger, If a Korean finds it offensive to talk about them eating dogs, then the first step towards political correctness is for them to stop eating them.

To bad THEY don't find it offensive. Over there it was considered a delicacy along with monkey brains and monkeys.

I find it offensive to Canadians to say they eat walleyes when your lakes are full of good Northern Pike that you could be eating!!!
