Before we make the 7 hrs road trip to get smelt I'd like to know how the cold front you guys are getting will affect the smelt run? Will it end or will it resume when it warms up?

Cheers,

Was out last weekend for smelts and did well. Just wondering if anybody knows if they're still running? The cold weather and snow must have affected there run I'm guessing.

Thanks

Was at Mackenzie last night around 10pm and filled two buckets in about 45min. They were running pretty good. We were packed up and on the road by 11:30.

5 of us drove 2 hours to get to tbay, we netted at McVickers for over 2 hours and got 2 ice cream pails. Absolutely terrible. Wish I would have had more info before i made the drive. It would be nice if more people would share their success stories on this forum.

Are the smelts done? I am curious, as I haven't read anything lately.
