just got back from a look see at McVickers, did a temperature reading when i got there. 3 C, water is higher than it was last night and flowing fast. Low to no visibility. I did get a full bottle of sherry, a wally world bottle of water, a shoe and some ice tea while i was there, nothing like taking a pail of garbage home. Offered the liquids back to nature, can't have that stuff trapped in plastic bottles.

Hopefully the rain or the Eclipse will bring them running!

stopped in at gravel river store and the owner said it will be another week or so before the smelts start . still lots of ice in the river. i checked the jackpine river 2 nights ago and nothing there yet
