Anyone know how to get to the little river behind mount McKay? Went a few years ago but didn't pay attention to where we drove

Seems like they are starting to go though. Little by little and before ya know it BOOM! SMELTS EVERYWHERE, JUMPING INTO THE BUCKET!....ahh I wish. Sure isn't what it used to be. Haha. Not that they ever jumped into the bucket but I remember scoops I needed help lifting as a kid.

Went to mcvickers mouth from 11-1 last night. At least 150 people there. I got 70 in 2 hours. They're all pretty small. Maybe better tonight. I fished 20 feet from the mouth

Current River is just a rockin. Try the right channel closer to the elevator. Lots of parking and you can walk out onto the rocks about 50'. The lake water level is still low. Slower water there and easier dipping for the little guys.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!

last year was my first time going in years and years...took my friend out we went to mcvicars and the run wasn't on so we went to the current river and after 30 mins it turned on and we were getting about 10 or so a scoop then someone to told us to cross the river to try and we went across and one scoop would fill the net it was crazy and fun.....broke my net last year haha bought myself a new one...go give the spot in the middle a try it will make you feel like a kid again :)

** People often ask me why I like hunting and fishing so much... I tell them that those are the only places where my mind doesn't think.... You should really try it sometime! **
