Weekend coaster 15 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 Anybody know how the Mackenzie has been recently or if the fish are in yet
kbrest 151 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 Something big could also have a pike. Ive seen monsters come out of there and a school of little pink salmon swimming by would make a great meal for one lol. I have my doubts that a good false run of steelhead are coming up now but who knows. Head out to Mackenzie and fish the mouth and up and let us know how you do. kbrest 151 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 I've caught lots of little trout on the fly in there but would be nice to nab a decent steelhead while salmon fishing.
spindilla1 42 Report post Posted September 14, 2013 It seemed more like steelhead fishing than salmon fishing yesterday.I didn't get any salmon, maybe a small school of steel moved in?

Guest FreshwaterFisherman Report post Posted September 15, 2013 Nope. Not that I have ever seen. Current river and Mckenzie are the two with the biggest runs locally.
