Guest nathan v Report post Posted December 8, 2013 We have hauled a few shacks over 10 foot wide to lac , had to get permits with all measurements of your load , vehicle towing it ect and submit it to the MTO. Other route is a flat deck wrecker or tractor trailer, but I can't see that being cheap as they will also be over width at 12 feet... Best bet is contact the MTO and they will point you in the best direction...best to get it right from the horses mouth! Good luck on your build and hope to see it on the lake! Heisenberg 12 Report post Posted December 8, 2013 If it's wider than a transport you may (or may not) want to read this: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/trucks/oversize/Get a sign like this and hope for the best? The good news is that you fall below the requirement for a police escort, but a private escort (see link above) is required I'd say you should probably build it in modular style, and connect the pieces once you get there.H. Guest nathan v Report post Posted December 9, 2013 A co worker had one of his hauled back to town a few weeks ago by a flat deck tow company , was a friend of his so don't know if it is something they regularly do, but it cant hurt to call and ask around!
