Iron Ranger 125 Report post Posted November 23, 2014 One of our dogs had a face to face with a skunk in South Dakota. I'm pretty sure the skunk was rabid. We were hunting the edge of a slough in the middle of the day. The skunk was coming at us through a picked field. It stopped short of the dog and it's lower jaw was dropped down all the way. It sprayed the dog from 10 feet away. I gave it a dose of chilled lead. We got back to Our son's place and picked up the ingredients to de-skunk him. 1- Qt Hydrogen Peroxide1- Box Baking Soda3- Tablespoons Blue DAWN dish Soap Sponge on the dog and leave it on the dog for 1/2 hour. Rinse it off and use the dog shampoo that you normally use. Do not let the peroxide mixture get in your dogs eyes. I am amazed how well this mixture works. Just throwing it out there if your dog runs in to a black and white kitty. 1 Quote 20 years ago we had Johnny Cash, Bob Hope and Steve Jobs. Now we have no Cash, no Hope and no Jobs. Please God, don't take Kevin Bacon.
